The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology has served the Brookdale community for over thirty-five years. The Division has worked to ensure that it provides comprehensive care which encompasses medical care, treatment, education and psychosocial management of patients and families with cancer, sickle cell disease and other hematological disorders.
Our Division is made up of Board-Certified Pediatric Hematologists/ Oncologists, Pediatric Nurses, Social Workers, Child-life Specialists, In-patient school with a teacher, In-patient play room.
Our website will introduce the many resources available to you, your child, your family and the community. We are indeed a unique and comprehensive hematology/oncology practice that aims to enhance the life of the patient living with cancer, sickle cell disease and other hematological disorders.
We have sub-specialists in every field to whom we can refer patients. We provide multi-disciplinary care. From the first time you walk through our doors, to your scheduled or emergency appointment, we make sure to provide enhanced patient care, education and medical follow up. We are also working hard to ensure that our patients transition to adult care very smoothly. The Division maintains community partnerships which allow our patients to take part in community events such as the walks for sickle cell and cancer.
